Resolved Low Mach Number Cooling Test

Note: the plots are in log-linear so sharp dips are from negative values.

This plot shows the steady state solution in black for a shock with a Mach number of 8.56. The cooling curve is a simple power law with an exponent of 2 and a coefficient of 1.23786e-34. The steady state is then put into the code as initial conditions with a resolution of 300 zones across the 2.5e17 cm. The red curve shows the state of the shock after 0.2 mega years. The time step is a factor of 500 smaller than the cooling time and all epsilons were set to 0.1.
