Department Hosting 206th AAS MeetingFrom May 29th to June 2nd 2005 the Department of Astronomy will host the 206th meeting of the American Astronomical Society at the Minneapolis Convention Center. This conference brings together astrophysicists from across the United States and the world to discuss their latest discoveries. The Kaufmanis Lecture for the general public will be given on May 31st at 8 PM at the Convention Center. This year's distinguished speaker is Dr. Carolyn Porco, Head of the Cassini/Huygens imaging team, discussing the exciting new spacecraft results from Saturn and Titan. The title of her talk is "Adventures in the Promised Land: Cassini in Orbit around Saturn".
